Shh -- PostSecret

Have you ever heard of postsecret.com? I just came across it a few weeks ago, and I thought it was a really cool. "PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project, created by Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website (every Sunday), or used for PostSecret’s books or museum exhibits. The simple concept of the project was that completely anonymous people decorate a postcard and portray a secret that they had never previously revealed. No restrictions are made on the content of the secret; only that it must be completely truthful and must never have been spoken before. Entries range from admissions of sexual misconduct and criminal activity to confessions of secret desires, embarrassing habits, hopes and dreams.” [Source]

Basically you spill your guts to this Frank guy (who has already received over 300,000 postcard secrets), and your secret may be posted or published. Obviously not everyone gets theirs posted, but just knowing you told Mr. Frank your SECRET is pretty intense.

Of all the secrets we all hold onto, it seems so crazy to be able to share them anonymously. I've been browsing through some of these posted on the site -- They are all really different. Some are funny, sad, angry, embarassing, creepy... I've never sent one, but I'm definitely tempted!

My Friend, Marco

I just wanted to do a little shout-out to good friend of ours, who happens to be a fabulous graphic artist: Marco Suarez. I've always been a huge fan of his work, but realize I haven't taken the time to stop and write a little post about it. It bums me that we only have 2 pieces of his in our home, but I have no doubt that we we be continuing our collection! I think what sets him apart from other artists is his eye for detail and colors.. I feel honored to know such a talented guy!

I feel a little extra inspired after spending a day looking at art. One of Justin's brothers is in town for the weekend and we spent our Saturday afternoon around Greenville for Open Studios with some friends. I found some new artists I thought were really interesting...
